Recently Taylor’s Gift, a foundation created by a family in Dallas following the loss of their teenage daughter in a tragic skiing accident in March 2010, came to Firehouse to help in developing materials for the organization to use to raise visibility during National Organ Donation Awareness Month in April.
Their initial request centered around one :30 PSA, but Firehouse loves making a difference for a worthy cause, so the agency took it a little further, delivering a fully integrated communications campaign. Firehouse created not one, but three :30 television PSAs for local and national distribution, and converted those same concepts to radio PSAs for national distribution.
“Friends of Firehouse” donated outdoor and digital space to extend the message, driving people to the Taylor’s Gift website to register to be an organ donor. The agency also worked closely with the team at Taylor’s Gift to develop press materials and conduct media outreach to coordinate stories around the push for donor registrations in April.
As an agency, Firehouse is looking forward to seeing the registration rates across all 50 states continue to rise, in honor of Taylor.
