When Firehouse president and founder Mark Hall asked the agency to come up with something we could do to inspire and support a close family friend who had just received a cancer diagnosis, we sprung into action.
Firehouse launched www.1million4Anna.com as a way to ask people to commit to pray for Anna Basso, a 16-year-old Dallas girl who was diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer.
The 1Million4Anna project was created to get one million prayers for Anna to keep her spirits up as she battles cancer. The response was overwhelming, and at one point, people were joining the 1Million4Anna Facebook group at a rate of 1 every 30 seconds. Even The Dallas Morning News and CBS11 helped spread the word.
