The National Cheerleaders Association (NCA), a leading organization for cheerleading competitions, instructional camps and special events around the world, has named Dallas-based Firehouse as its first advertising agency of record.
Firehouse will work with NCA’s leadership team for strategic planning, brand and creative development, with the goals of helping build the NCA brand and increase preference for its programs among high school, college and all-star cheerleading teams.
NCA, started by former SMU cheerleader Lawrence “Herkie” Herkimer, has been a pioneering force in the cheerleading community from the time of its inception in 1948. The organization was not only the first to introduce the spirit stick and the pompon, but the first to focus on core principles and fundamentals that are necessary when teaching young athletes to act with integrity, to inspire excellence in others and to become the leaders of tomorrow.
